I originally only put a few pellets into my kakariki's bowl to test them out and after she seemed to enjoy it I completely switched her diet to pellets (along with her fresh fruit and veg). She likes it so much that instead of going to sleep she keeps heading straight for her food. They're also soft enough for smaller birds such as my kakariki to bite them without any problems.
