I liked the combination of outdoor pest/bird protection and built in flapper . This vent has some heft to it and is perfectly square . The construction and materials used is very high quality . I seldom write reviews this product deserves 5 stars . Once received I realized the approximately 2 week delivery time was well worth it . Something tells me these are hand made . Although it is true that this arrived sans any instructions , it is pretty straight forward ,. Depending on what you will connect to it you might need to do some crimping .Trust me when I say there is no comparison between this vent and the made in china vents available at your local big box store . I would recommend this product . ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Very good quality - needs to be painted though. *by B***K on November 1, 2020* This is a very good quality product. It is very tight and square. The flap and opens and closes very nicely on the front. The only thing is, I vented through a concrete wall so just to make sure that it doesn't rust, I painted it with some oil based paint. I wish that the collar was a little longer. 8 inches doesn't go through the entire block wall so I had to extend it before sliding it into the wall. Not too big of a deal. I used a can of spray foam to hold it in place and it is very solid and tight.A little pricy but then again, what isn't? It is a good quality product. I would buy it again. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Best I could find *by L***L on February 1, 2023* Redid the kitchen and vented the hood outside, so I needed a vent cover. I wanted something that looked decent, had a "critter screen", and a working flap. This was the only one that seemed to fit the bill and come in the right size (8"). Took a week or so to arrive but looks good, was easy to install (once we cut the hole in the concrete wall), and works just as it should. No complaints.
