The longer shot has the power supply unloaded. The second almost indistinguishable shot was when I attached it to a tranciever. The fan came on, but I didn't see any deflection on the scope. I ran the scope in DC mode so that it would show DC voltages. You can see about 11.8 volts according to the scope. The scope shows peaks but I'm using an unshielded alligator clip probe, I can cause remarkable changes in the readings by waving my hand over the scope. It is possible I can see a tiny bit of switching artifact if I squint. This is a cheap scope but it would show a 1/2 volt ripple as sine waves or such. I think this is a good 12 volt power supply, reasonably well filtered. It would be fine for a ham transceiver that wants a nice steady close to 12 volts. I double checked with the internal reference oscillator and it seemed to show the same amount of jitter. What I thought might be switching artifact is cheap scope artifact.
