The teacher's desk is cardboard and plastic but its sturdy and we added some clear tape to keep the top and bottom attached to the middle (just incase over time they become seperated to reduce the risk of losing a part) once together the chairs are NOT falling apart. my 7 year old LOVES this. Works for Barbie, LOL Surprise dolls, Enchantimals and so much more. Its worth ever penny I know she will use it a ton with all kinds of dolls. BUY IT! Your child Will love it! One has 3 desks and the other 5. Both have teacher’s desk and chalkboard. Where else could you find a school classroom for Barbie though? Easy to put together, snap together plastic pieces, child will need an adult to construct. Only wish the notebooks, test sheets, and teachers desk was not made of cardboard.
