I got them for Caramel apples, and although a lot of reviews for sticks for caramel apples went with 5 1/2" length, I opted for the 7" because I'm using humongous (super-size) apples. These are everything "they" say they are. Very strong, well finished with a good point that pierces the apple without any problem, but not sharp enough to hurt anyone. Extremely well finished - not a splinter in the group!
