Measuring 1200 x 600 mm with thickness options of 6, 10, and 20 mm, these lightweight, recyclable boards offer a compressive strength of 300 kPa and thermal conductivity of just 0.029 W/mK. Perfect for underfloor heating systems and various insulation needs, they reduce energy loss, resist mold and damp, and maintain structural stability over time. ## Description Note: Please note that the product colour for 6mm and 10mm boards can be blue or black depending on what stock is available. The CosySpace XPS Insulation Boards are eco friendly as they are manufactured from fully recyclable materials. They are produced through a plastic extrusion process to form polystyrene insulation sheets, a material that does not deteriorate. The cell structure in the board is built up from very fine closed cells that give the product its excellent physical and mechanical characteristics. An excellent insulation that saves energyThis special cell structure means that the sheet does not conduct heat. When you lay CosySpace XPS boards as an underlay any heat from your room or floor will be reflected back towards the floor surface. This is because you will not be wasting heat through your floor and will utilise your energy in a very green efficient manner, thereby lowering your energy consumption and carbon footprint.Effective protection against cold and dampCosySpace XPS boards do not only take care of the heat, they are also an effective guard against the cold and damp. The cold will be held back by the non-conducting characteristics of the foam and as the CosySpace XPS board is also water repellent, it will not rot or go mouldy and will help hold back any damp from your floor. These XPS boards are also resistant to cement, plaster, and most alkalis (lime or soda), however, not against organic solvents (i.e. acids)SpecificationsBoard Size - 1200mm x 600mmThickness Available - 6mm, 10mm and 20mmHigh compression resistanceAble to resist repeated freeze and thaw cyclesMoisture proof and Air tightSound Reduction of over 22dbNon-absorbentCorrosion proofLow thermal conductivityStructurally stable in the long runTechnical detailsDensity: 40kg/m3Compressive strength: 300 kPa (this equals to 43.51 pound force per square inch)Thermal conductivity:0.029 w/mk Review: Good floor insulation - These insulation boards were just the right size to fit in my kitchen with minimal cutting required. Besides that the floor is now warm enough to walk on without shoes. You have to be careful not to crush it with chair legs etc but so far it's working fine for me. Review: A good investment. - These inexpensive XPS insulation boards were used to form an insulating barrier to an Easterly facing bedroom wall. They were easy to cut with a Stanley knife and I used some thick wallpaper for templates to get the wall angles right before cutting the boards. This kept any wastage to a minimum. That was 18 months ago and I still haven't put anything on top of the boards but don't mind the Matt black look! And yes, the wall reflects heat as expected very well. Very good value. ## Features - Best Used With An Underfloor Heating Kit On Concrete Flooring a Low Cost Proxy To Tile Backer Board - High Density, Light Weight And Low Cost Make This Foam Board Ideal In A Poorly Insulated Property - XPS Boards Are An Extruded Polystyrene Insulation Board Made Through A Plastic Extrusion Process - Widely Used In Walls And Loft Insulation, Underfloor Heating, Roof, Wet Room, And Non Moisture Areas - Stable Performance, Anti-ageing, Resistant To Compression, Water Resistant, Lightweight, Recyclable ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B0D5YMQVM7 | | Best Sellers Rank | 65,055 in DIY & Tools ( See Top 100 in DIY & Tools ) 43 in Panel Insulation | | Brand | Cosyspace | | Country of Origin | United Kingdom | | Customer Reviews | 4.5 out of 5 stars 193 Reviews | | Included Components | No | | Item Dimensions L x W | 12L x 6W metres | | Item Type Name | xps Insulation Board | | Manufacturer | CosySpace | | Material | Polystyrene | | Model Number | Cosysapce | | Number of items | 1 | | Product dimensions | 12L x 6W metres | ## Product Details - **Material:** Polystyrene - **Brand:** CosySpace - **Product dimensions:** 12L x 6W metres - **Manufacturer:** CosySpace ## Images ![XPS Foam Insulation Boards 1200 x 600 x 10mm - Electric and Water Underfloor Heating Tile Laminate Underlay Thermal Extruded Polystyrene Insulation Sheets (12, 1200 X 600 X 30mm) - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/41yReJd6ptL.jpg) ![XPS Foam Insulation Boards 1200 x 600 x 10mm - Electric and Water Underfloor Heating Tile Laminate Underlay Thermal Extruded Polystyrene Insulation Sheets (12, 1200 X 600 X 30mm) - Image 2](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/31N65mGnk7L.jpg) ## Available Options This product comes in different **Size, Item Package Quantity** options. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good floor insulation *by D***D on 7 November 2023* These insulation boards were just the right size to fit in my kitchen with minimal cutting required. Besides that the floor is now warm enough to walk on without shoes. You have to be careful not to crush it with chair legs etc but so far it's working fine for me. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A good investment. *by P***N on 18 April 2026* These inexpensive XPS insulation boards were used to form an insulating barrier to an Easterly facing bedroom wall. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Ideal for my purpose *by W***Y on 20 October 2020* I bought these XPS boards to insulate a Garador 3C up and over garage door. The gap between the door skin and the cross bracing was exactly 10mm so these boards were a good interference fit. With a new Stanley Knife blade, they cut easily and I found that a score line was enough, as they would the reliably break along the score. It's made an immediate 3⁰C difference in the temperature of the garage, which will improve further once I've fitted the top and bottom draught excluder. Overall a good, if fairly expensive product. *Every product I review is purchased with my own money.
