When the two are pressed together the hooks catch in the loops and the two pieces fasten or bind temporarily. Each tape has plenty of adhesive on the back to stick to the board/pedals and it works perfectly. I now have a useful portable pedal board for rehearsals and small gigs with the pedals fixed solidly in place and I can confidently recommend this tape for this and other similar uses.When building a board I recommend spending some time mocking up the layout before you actually start fixing the pedals in place. If you're not sure of the best order to put them in there's plenty of advice available on line. I usually follow this order: Tuner/Wah/Compression/Overdrive/EQ/Pitch/Modulation/Delay but play around with the order to find out what suits you best. Also I've found slightly heating up the tape with a hairdryer before fixing on the tape helps to make the glue slightly more malleable and help adhesion. Let it dry properly before you fix the pedal to you board, but if you do need to move them another useful tip is to slide a round ended table knife under the pedal to help you ease it off as this prevents unnecessary pulling to the velcro. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Just what was needed. *by on Reviewed in the United Kingdom 25 August 2026* Some good quality tape. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Really strong tape for securing your pedals. Perhaps too strong for some! *by on Reviewed in the United Kingdom 20 September 2025* I bought this because I needed to add a wah to my old Donner pedalboard, and was having real problems removing some of my old pedals. A wah needs to be fixed in place, and I had run out of my old tape. I did have some lesser quality stuff that wasn't holding well compared to the stuff I used when I built the board (I had to use leverage to move my old pedals around) and so I wanted to pick up some of the super-strong stuff I had used in the past. I checked my past purchases and scoured my online reciepts, only to realise I had never bought any high quality hook and loop.... I was using the stuff that came with the board.
