    Pieces cut the same!

I recently completed the Dowdle Yellowstone Old Faithful puzzle and really enjoyed it.  I liked the very unusual shapes of some of the pieces. I was looking forward to doing the Mesa Verde puzzle. However I quickly got frustrated when I discovered that several of the pieces across the top edge of the puzzle were cut with exactly the same shape of the sides of the pieces and the coloring (blue sky and green vegetation) was also virtually identical.  It wasn't until I tried to complete the second row down that I discovered this problem.  I had to take out about 5-6 pieces in the top row, then complete the 2nd row before I could correctly complete the top row.BTW - I just started working on the Santa Claus puzzle and am running into the same issue.  Outside pieces are cut with identical shapes on the sides of the pieces.

Dowdle is one of my Mom's favorite brands.  She loves puzzles and the 500 piece puzzles are easy to do in a short period of time so she really likes them.  The photos and art of this brand are beautifully printed and the pieces are well cut.

This puzzle is hard enough to  keep you busy but not so hard as to be frustrating. I was reminded of my trip to Mesa Verde many years ago. Great fun.
