Modern close couple WC, syphon is glued in place, within cistern, but starts leaking, adhesive has broken down prematurely. Most silicone sealants are not suitable for full immersion, fish tank sealant not readily available locally. Solution. Marine sealant. Sikaflex products are very good, as I have used automotive sealants before. Its not expensive, by comparison to high performance silicone. It is hard to squeeze out with a gun, next time I'd probably warm it up a little. Once cured, job seems to be done. I have used it for a number of other of little leaky bits, here and there.
