It does tip forward and I bought a silicone sleeve on Amazon, the curling iron fits perfectly inside. And when I’m using the curling iron, I just rested on top of the silicone pad so I don’t have to worry about burning the counter or table. I will put it in our camper, which has a tight space and it will fit very well. This is great because I only ended up using it once in Europe, I wore a hat most of the time for sun protection. So I didn’t do that much with my hair. But I will put it in our camper which has a tiny bathroom.
