But, in fact, there is more to it; they can be so flimsy as to be downright dangerous (I once landed up with one attached to my thumb), or so small that they fail to achieve their designated purpose. These "Diealles" skewers are a pleasant exception to the run-of-the-mill cheap and nasty ones we often see: they are of solid construction and looks and do their designated job well by being easy to insert into the ends of the (hot!) cob, and subsequently providing a firm grip on it. If anything, they look a trifle "massive", but you can't have your cake and eat it! ### ⭐ Not sure of safety after loosing prongs, could they have been swallowed?
