For light applications on the Glocks, I spray a little in a jar lid, and apply to small areas with a model paint brush. I also sprayed some in the bottle of a Needle Oiler. Works well on my Benelli Auto Shotgun. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Wonderful, versatile CLP *by G***Y on April 19, 2024* This is my new go-to lubricant for around the house. It has replaced WD-40, as many other reviewers have stated. It is significantly thicker than WD-40, but not in a bad way. It stays where you put it and lasts a lot longer. I have used the spray, the liquid, and the pre-coated wipes. Each has its role. I also like that it is a true CLP; it’s a much more complete and versatile product than WD-40. I have spray cans and cloths distributed around the house, workshop, tool shed, toolboxes, etc. The small 1.5 oz cans are great for the toolbox, tool bag, range bag, etc. It is also a much greener product, so it’s safer to use. The only place where I don’t use it is in certain places outdoors, such as on gate hinges, locks, latches, etc. I use white lithium grease for those applications; it’s much more weather resistant and durable. But other than that, Ballistol is a winner. Highly recommended. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great CLP replacement! If your aerosol straws don't fit, please read below *by A***2 on November 1, 2020* First: I received a 3 can shipment of the aerosol Ballistol, and not a single one of the straws fit the nozzle (twisting, pressing, etc). It's the outer diameter of the straw that causes the problem. Take a little strip of 600 grit wet/dry sandpaper and pinch one end of the straw between your fingers, with the sandpaper encasing it. Twist the straw between your pinched fingers and the sandpaper about 30 times. Wipe down the straw with a wet paper towel. It will fit perfectly in the nozzle.Okay. Without repeating info from all the other reviews, Ballistol is my one-stop-shop now. It loosens rust to where it can be effectively scrubbed away, soaks into bare metal and protects it, acts as a light lubricant, and dissolves grease/sap/glue. It's food safe, skin safe, great for long term storage, and works on ... everything. Metal, leather, wood, plastic safe, etc ... amazing. Very little can claim that. You can buy the liquid, non-aerosol version and mix it 10:1 with hot water (it will emulsify, unlike most oil products) in a spray bottle and retain most of the benefits and save a lot of money.I use this on my axe, hatchet (handle and blade!), lopping shears, pocket knives, door hinges, an outdoor table wood top, and leather sheaths. Be aware if used on leather it softens it a bit, and makes it less breathable/water permeable, which may or may not be what you want. I love spraying the inside of a leather knife sheath with it pretty liberally.
