A: NO .  I left handed and it's ok and it works fine .l loaded 4500m of 10lb braid on it and it works fine.

A: No line guard

**Q: How much does it weigh**
A: Sorry don't know. But buy it fantastic reel for the money .it's very smooth. Tight lines. Graham.
