It is very lightweight and made of a cotton-nylon mix. It fits a 59-60cm head well with a little bit of space, which is perfect for active wear. It has buttons on the side so you can wear it like a 'bush-hat', having worn it in the sun all day, you don't get hot or sweaty - probably due to the lightweight material and ventilation holes, as well as a single thickness top of the hat. The hat is double-walled thickness all over except from the top (which helps it breath), so I don't believe it would provide total sun protection for a bald person, though it would certainly provide some. The brim is a good width and stiffness but won't cover your whole face from the sun. In the picture I have pulled the hat up slightly but if you pull it down it covers about 2/3 of your face. You can roll this hat up for easy storage and it has a chinstrap which I actually used around the back of my head to secure it in place. I would definitely recommend it - an absolute bargain for £5.23. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Very comfortable, stylish Boonie hat.
