Review: Brilliant dash cam! - Bought this dash cam about 2 weeks ago and was so impressed with the video quality and the ease of use that I bought another one for my wife’s car. It’s very easy to install and it works straight away. The only thing that takes a bit of time is to find places to hide the cables but that is different from car to car. A great system, excellent value. The picture (front camera) is superb, not fitted the rear one yet. My only issue is playback of recorded videos, they're in a special GKU format - .FTS which is not playable on either a Mac or a PC, only on the phone app. There is a video conversion app (VLC Media player) but this will not work on an Apple laptop. This makes viewing footage only possible on a phone, not ideal if checking on accident footage and/or number plates etc. Perhaps the police have better software? Hopefully any user will never need to view accident footage but a recording format for Windows and/or an Apple computer would be desirable.
