The leather is lovely and soft - perfect for gymnastics.However, the quality of the pair I received isn't great, though to be fair, may just be a one off. I bought these shoes for my 9 year old niece and she opened them on her birthday, promptly put them on and practised on her brand new gym mat before my sister realised that the stitching hadn't quite caught on one of the seams on the outer edge of the shoe, towards the toe end.Too late to return them, but disappointing as I think this is a quality assurance issue which could have been checked before dispatch.
