Review: Totally top-notch customer service through support chat. Absolutely fantastic. Carlo and the other two service agents (I had to reboot the computer several times and had to restart chats with different agents) were absolutely on the ball as we switched computers and used chat, e-mail, and worked through several difficult problems caused by voltage irregularities with the motherboard installed PCI adapter. Highly skilled group of tech service agents. Blown away their service. Very knowledgeable. THANK YOU CARLO! Results: 250Mbps versus less than 20Mbps before TP-Link.
Review: I bought this TP-Link WiFi USB Adapter (Archer TXE50UH) to replace a CUDY WU1300 AC 1300Mbps WiFi USB Adapter (also from desertcart) because the CUDY Wifi Adapter's performance has degraded since I originally bought it in January 28, 2023. Now I have very fast Internet response time using this TP-Link Wifi USB Adapter connected to my very fast Lenovo P620 workstation. I shutdown the workstation first, then removed the old CUDY WIFI USB Adapter, launched again Windows 10, followed the setup instructions provided by the manufacturer to install the TP-Link software using the supplied CD containing the TP-Link USB software driver. The TP-Link Software Driver is installed and controlled by the standard Windows 10 Program Installation (shown in the second uploaded image) and therefore the driver can be upgraded in the future because the TP-Link software sub-directory is located in the C:\ hard disk drive (third image). My original CUDY Wifi Adapter when installed in Windows 10 has no indication of where the drivers are located in the PC and there is NO way for me to install a newer version of the CUDY Wifi driver. The CUDY Wifi Adapter is NO longer sold by desertcart. Update 01/30/2025 - I changed the number of stars of this TP-Link WiFi USB Adapter (Archer TXE50UH) from 5 to 2 stars because I am experiencing internet disconnections randomly during the day and most disconnections late at night (11:00PM-12:00 midnight when I am using a fast Lenovo P620 workstation). My home internet service provider is Verizon FIOS so there is NO reason for any disconnection as web traffic from many users go through the optical cable network of Verizon FIOS. I still have the internet disconnection problems even if I updated the software driver of the TP-Link WiFi USB Adapter. I never had this disconnection problems at all using the new TECHKEY Dual Antenna WiFi 6E USB Adapter that replaced the TP-Link WiFi USB Adapter (Archer TXE50UH). Update 02/25/2025 - I re-connected this TP-Link WiFi USB Adapter (Archer TXE50UH) to replace the failing Techkey AXE5400 Mbps Dual 5Dbi High Gain Antennas WiFi 6E Wireless adapter and re-installed its latest software driver. I did compare my latest software download with the last download I made last January 2025 and there was no change at all. When the TP-Link Wifi Adapter started working, I stayed up to the morning of 02/27/2025 to test if there would again be any disconnection problem and I had no disconnection problems at all. Therefore, I am changing my review of this TP-Link (Archer TXE50UH) WiFi 6E USB Adapter to 5-stars. Update 08-02-2025 - After several months of use of this TP-Link (Archer TXE50UH) WiFi 6E USB Adapter with NO change in the software driver at all because there are no new driver updates, I get intermittent signal interruption causing the playback to stop and solved by disconnecting the WIFI device from the Verizon FIOS home network and reconnecting again. I replaced this TP-Link TXE50UH with a NetGear AXE3000 comparable in specs as both TP-Link and NetGear support the 6E WiFi bandwidth. I tested the NetGear AXE3000 (B&H price is $19.01 more than the current $59.99 desertcart price of the TP-Link TXE50U) by watching a YouTube movie but instead of a playback stall, the YouTube video just stops for moment but continues on after a fast recovery from the signal stall.

### ⭐⭐ Review
*by M***E on 16 August 2025*

TL;DR: This adapter is expensive, has terrible range, doesn't connect to WiFi 6E, and is horribly slow. Do not buy. Also, the reviews are all skewed since the overall rating lumps in several different WiFi adapters, not just this one. I hate it when companies do this and it's extremely sketchy at best. Full review I recently purchased the TP-Link Archer AXE75 router for it's WiFi 6E capabilities and decided to get this adapter to go with it. I am not impressed in the slightest with it for the reasons listed below. It's definitely going to be returned and I don't recommend anyone purchase it. First, we'll get troubleshooting out of the way: -The driver is updated to the most current version -Multiple USB 3.0 ports were tested -The router works perfectly fine with every other device connected to it -I am using Windows 11 Now on to the problems the adapter has: -Range is AWFUL! It's roughly 10 feet away from the router and it barely connects to it. It is going through a basement floor, but my cell phone connects to the 6ghz band just fine at full signal (no matter where I'm at in the basement), and it doesn't have a dedicated WiFi antenna sticking out of it. The router is nearly directly above the adapter and is only going through wood subflooring. Getting full signal with the factory motherboard antenna has never been an issue in this location and it's half the size. All the marketing about "beam forming signals" and all that is pure nonsense. -It does NOT connect to WiFi 6E. The signal it has when connected to the router is weak at best, and it's not even on the 6E channel. Again, my phone is able to connect to the 6E channel just fine no matter it's location, so I know it's not a router issue. When this adapter is connected to the internet it's on the 5ghz channel and the signal is so poor that it's only getting 30-40 mbps download speeds on a fiber connection. This is verified using the TP-Link Tether app and it shows my PC connected to the 5ghz channel. Download speeds were tested using Google's built in speed test, along with the Speedtest website. Both tests yield the same results. -It's insanely expensive for it's weak performance. The adapter cost half as much as the entire router did, and it was even on sale. It's not ALL bad I guess, so here are some pros: -Well packaged and easy to find the drivers on the TP-Link website -Well made and the base is a nice addition to relocate the antenna The final nail in the coffin is that the factory WiFi antenna that came with my motherboard absolutely destroys the TP-Link adapter. The factory antenna isn't even capable of 6E connectivity (hence the reason I bought the 6E adapter), is half the size the TP-Link adapter, and it gets a full, rock solid connection at 920mbps. I guess the best thing I learned from this is that I don't even need the adapter to get full speed off of my new router. But if anyone else is looking to buy it I'd stay far, far away.
