I initially bought it for the entryeway of my home. But the pile is too thick for the door to move over it. Delighted with the color, design and shape, I found another location in a more non-traditional area for the rug. Planning on placing a non-slip mat for on-carpet under it to fully smooth out the rug to be totally flat.
