The HI772 (Handheld Colorimeter) provides a simple, accurate, and cost-effective way to measure alkalinity in degrees of carbonate hardness, commonly abbreviated as dKH. Critical to marine environments, alkalinity not only provides the carbonate ion required for calcium carbonate skeletal regeneration of coral reefs, but it also acts as a pH buffer against large changes in acidity. Designed as a more accurate alternative to chemical test kits, the HI772 provides quick, accurate results in a few easy steps. Directions Adults 18 years old or older Review: Hanna Tester HI772 - Wie man es von Hanna gewohnt ist- funktioniert wie erwartet Review: Tester Review - Reefers, this product is hands down one of the best investments you can make for testing your tank. As an engineer, data accuracy means everything to me—and after comparing this testing method with nearly every other option on the market, it’s clear this one stands above the rest. Unlike traditional color-based tests where you have to guess shades and deal with tricky lighting, this system provides actual numerical values. No more squinting or second-guessing. You get precise, reliable results every time. Yes, it may cost around $400 to cover all the key parameters you need to measure, but if you’ve already invested $1,000+ in coral and $1,200 in lighting, it’s a small price to pay to protect that investment and ensure your reef’s long-term health. It took me over 15 years in the hobby to finally discover this product, and the difference has been incredible. My corals are now growing exponentially, thanks to accurate measurements and the ability to react quickly to any parameter swings. If you’re a reefer who values precision—or even a “lazy reefer” who just wants exact numbers without the guesswork—this is absolutely the product for you. ## Features - Hanna Checker HI772 - Alk Checker Tester is designed for direct measurement of Alkalinity - Compact Design: With its compact and portable design, this meter is perfect for on-the-go testing in various applications. - MULTI USE - Ideal for aquariums and marine biology applications. - Our portable handheld colorimeter goes where you go. - Easy Operation: Features a user-friendly interface with simple button operation, making it easy to navigate and take measurements. ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B0D7K2B7RW | | Batteries Included | Yes | | Batteries required | Yes | | Best Sellers Rank | 63,185 in Pet Supplies ( See Top 100 in Pet Supplies ) 150 in Aquarium Test Kits | | Colour | White | | Customer Reviews | 4.7 4.7 out of 5 stars (129) | | Date First Available | 27 Jun. 2024 | | Delivery information | We cannot deliver certain products outside mainland UK ( Details ).
