I have not yet tried it on anything else. I noticed a fine cut or split a couple of inches long in the soft-touch vinyl covering on my car's center console. I wanted to stop it from growing or widening. I was skeptical of products that claim to repair cuts so completely that they disappear, especially when the damage is on a flat-black console cover in plain sight. I assumed that achieving an invisible repair would require considerable work and that, even when finished, the repair would probably remain obvious. The damage wasn't serious enough for me to consider replacing the console cover. At the same time, because it is right on top of the console and plainly visible, I didn't want to cover it with a piece of the leather repair tape I had previously used successfully in a more concealed location. What I wanted was a reasonably priced, easy-to-use product that would simply freeze the damage in place and keep it from getting worse. This Plasti Dip adhesive accomplished exactly that. I applied a thin bead of adhesive along the length of the cut, and it has remained unchanged for several months. There has been no sign of the cut spreading or widening. The repair is by no means invisible, but neither is it particularly obvious. The cut is still there, but it simply looks like a minor blemish from normal wear and tear. That doesn't bother me; my car is no longer new. In fact, that is exactly the result I was looking for. I gave this product four stars because it performed its intended job very well. I have not yet tried it on other materials or for other types of repairs, so I don't feel qualified to give it five stars based on a single application.
