Review: Don't impress out of the box - Update on original review. I ran them in for 24 hours and nothing improved. To check it wasnt just me I let my wife and one of my daughters try them and they both hated them saying they were harsh and annoying to listen to for even short lengths of time. The good thing was this let me prove to my wife that my pickyness around audio equipment is justified and that not every peice of audio equipment is good or the same. In the end they went back for a full refund, thank god desertcart have our backs with disappointing products like this sending them back was easy. ----------- original review --------------- Only just got these as a present from my wife from desertcart. Am tempted to send them back but am hoping with some burn in they will change. Not sure I have much positive to say other than they are clear, so negatives: - Tinny, base is almost none existent (Sennheiser I have found can start like this and get better over time). - soundstage feels compressed, might be down to a lack of low end, at the moment they sound like listening to cheep hifi in the corner of the room while I'm a few meters away. Sonically they are like b&w's rock solid htm2s I owned in my teens with a low end cd player and a Sony surround sound amp). - they feel cheep, but might be down to them trying to save weight, I am glad I have the warentee with them I don't see them lasting. - the cord is too short by at least 2 inches/5cm to 4 inches/10cm. It's so short it wouldn't allow them to sit on my neck with one headphone in. Instead the other headphone sits about where it should but is pulled tight across the back of my neck. This is because there isn't enough cable for them to rest on my sholders, I can feel this and it might become annoying. - I've been listening to them while writing this and am already finding their bright treble annoying. Ime to leave them playing on there own somewhere for 12 hours and see if some use helps. So people have an idea of my previous experience with headphones, I have a pair of Sennheiser hd600 ovations that are now 25 years old and which I love. I've had 10+ pairs for senhiser in ear headphones before. These were the i series I think they were i3 (at least 4 sets) and i5's (2 sets) both of which suffered with being bright to start and just as they got good the cables would de-laminate. Prior to that it was Sennheiser cx series I believe. I also have had Sennheiser hd595's, hd565's, 400's, Bose quiet connect 1's and then 2's, Sony xb400, the wrap around ones from the late 90's (can't remember the model), several sound magic headphones and I'm sure some over my time I can't remember. I do actually like Sennheiser but do feel these aren't up to their standards yet. I will report back after some but in and actual use, or if they really are no good and my wife doesn't kill me for wanting to return her kind gift. I will say if you want something out of the box that sounds great and which I have given a very hard life for 2 years the Bose qc2's are much better than these even if the control system is annoying (if you have to push one in for a better fit it will screw up your music/video/audiobook!).

**Q: is this compatible with Sennheiser IE 900 pro?**
A: No. Its for the IE 100/400/500. The 300, 600, 900, etc use a smaller mmcx connector than these

**Q: Does this work with the IE 40 Pro?**
A: yes. works well.

**Q: Does it work with IE300?**
A: No, it works with the IE 100/400/500, as indicated on the box.
These use a slightly diferent but similar looking at a glance connector vs the IE 300 and others in the line

Update on original review. I ran them in for 24 hours and nothing improved. To check it wasnt just me I let my wife and one of my daughters try them and they both hated them saying they were harsh and annoying to listen to for even short lengths of time. The good thing was this let me prove to my wife that my pickyness around audio equipment is justified and that not every peice of audio equipment is good or the same. Ich habe mich schon an deutlich teureren In-Ears abgearbeitet, die mich letztlich immer enttäuscht haben. Die Pro IE 100 Pro haben mich hingegen vom Sound und Tragekomfort überzeugt. A pesar de ser de precio elevado, el sonido y la calidad del audio es superior a cualquier producto de la competencia dentro de la gama(gama de entrada). El módulo bt es una buena solución para escuchar secuencias y metrónomo para gigs pequeños y funciona súper bien. Comparado con Shure o KZ es sin duda una muy buena inversión en esta gama de productos. Actualización: El auricular izquierdo ya no funciona...Casi no los usaba para trabajar en su mayoría eran ensayos y con el módulo BT me era suficiente. Así que el cable lo usé aproximadamente una vez por mes. A la fecha no más de 10 ocasiones. Primero el auricular izquierdo comenzó con un falso contacto. Y después de dos o tres cambios más dejo de escucharse. Se que es el auricular por qué he probado el auricular derecho con las diferentes entradas tanto del módulo como del cable y sigue funcionando perfectamente.
