Lots of other scratchings have lots of other things added and if you dropped the dextrose you would have access to the whole keto community ### ⭐⭐ The snacks don't taste the same as when bought from the supermarket *by J***6 on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 21 March 2019* I go these for my son, who has coeliac disease and gluten free pork scratchings are hard to find.I had got him the Snaffling Pig advent calendar and he loved them, so thought I'd get him this pack of 12 as part of his Christmas present.However, he opened the first packet and they just didn't taste the same - not off exactly off but a bit soft and flavourless.We thought he was being a picky, so we tried them and agreed with him. We tried another couple of packets and they were the same, so it's been a waste of money.They were in date, so not sure what's happened with this batch. I got him another pack from the supermarket and they were fine. ### ⭐⭐ Inconsistent and overpriced *by J***D on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 25 February 2019* There seems to be a lot of pork scratching brands popping up lately. Maybe linked to the low carb-high fat diets that are also trending. Anyway, I thought I would try the multipack of Snaffling Pig mixed flavours variety. At £1.50 for a 50g back I assumed these would be at the higher quality end of the market.Sadly not.I’ll give the four different flavours a rating below however all of them shared the same over-used oil flavour. If you have ever had to clean a chip pan or deep fat fryer and found all the blackened and burnt bits that had accumulated since you last changed the oil – this is the overriding smell and flavour. Most of the bags also had a few overcooked bitter tasting pieces that were only fit for the bin. As for the added flavours:Perfectly Salted - Old chip pan scraps with salt – 1 out of 5Salt and Vinegar - These were the pick of the bunch as the vinegar helped cut through everything else - 3 out of 5Habanero Chilli - A bit like the above in terms of cutting through the base flavour but otherwise nothing special – 2.5 out of 5BBQ - Quite bland and not really suited to this product – 2 out of 5One final point on this product. You may be wonder what type of pork scratching are these. The smaller compacted crackling more often seen in pub snack or the lighter crispier variety that is becoming more popular in the UK. Well, it seems to be both. Not in the same pack mind you, it’s just pot luck which type you get.
