A: The shaft on the one I just bought is 14mm dia x 30mm long and has a 5mm keyway and key.

A: This is a stepping motor. The shafts of these motors "step" through discrete positions under the control of a stepping motor drive. The 'drive' is an electronic assembly that receives digital input signals to control the speed and direction of motor steps. So, shaft speed is not a fixed value, as it might be with an AC induction motor. Maximum available shaft speed is affected by details of the load that's connected to the motor. A: It's complicated; there isn't a single answer to this question.
