This pump is twice the hp, and the filter is 4x the size of what INTEX provides. This pump and filter is what should come with these above ground pools in the first place. INTEX way undersizes the equipment they provide.It was a pleasant surprise to see this pump and filter came with all the adapters needed to glue PVC pipe for the connections. It wasn’t hard to hook up at all. I did have to hard plumb my pool but that’s what I was wanting to do anyway. The problem is the multiport valve does NOT work at all. I’ve emailed the company 3-4 times to get help to no avail. I’ve also tried to reach out to Amazon and they say there’s nothing they can do. I have this huge sand filter with all of this sand in it that I can’t use. It’s so frustrating because these things are NOT cheap, but I guess what you pay for.
