The only problem was/is that the door opens outward and it would be nice to be able to leave it open on cool, breezy days. Hmmmm.... I didn't want a screen door inside my living room and started looking online for alternatives and was lucky to find this EXCELLENT product - which I made perfect (for my needs) by making one minor modification (more about the modification in a moment). This is an inexpensive, well thought out and executed solution that I am more than glad to endorse. Easy to install, good directions and works like a charm. The fact that this is priced under $20 is the icing on the cake.As for my mod.... I didn't want to have to keep separating the two screens every time I need to open the balcony door as I only intend to use it (the screen) at times when I wish to leave the door open for extended periods of time, like on a nice breezy day. Also, my balcony overlooks a park with a pond and I didn't want my view of the beautiful scenery obstructed when the balcony door is closed (my door has glass panes) - which will be most of the time. And, lastly, I have blinds on my door which I open and close daily and, again, I didn't want to have to keep parting the two screens just to access my blinds. So I started thinking (which is always trouble) and I came up with the simple but ingenious idea of adding snaps so that I can keep the screens draped open while still being able to easily and quickly deploy the screen when needed by simply unsnapping them from the door jam (see photos). To execute my evil plan for world domination (and to add snaps to this screen) I wound up buying a simple, inexpensive snap kit for $7 here on Amazon which I received earlier today. With a modicum of effort and an investment of around 30 minutes I had executed my solution - which is shown in the attached photos. Pretty clever, if I do say so myself.I love finding simple, easy-to-implement-yet-effective solutions to everyday problems and to do so inexpensively without sacrificing quality or utility is a home run to me. And in that vein, I am very pleased with this product and even more so now that I was able to easily customize it to meet my particular needs. I wholeheartedly endorse this item. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Easy to install *by D***R on Reviewed in the United States on March 9, 2019* This is the 4th of these types of door screens that I've bought. One was rubbish, was too short and narrow, didn't match the product description at all. The ones that I've bought before were black. This is white which is nice. My house was built with custom windows and doors many years ago so it's always challenging finding things to fit. I wanted this for an interior door near to a balcony door (double assurance that no mosquitoes can get in) but the black one I had was too narrow so I was glad to see that this was the right size for my door. It was easy to install and I did it by myself. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Finally, a mesh screen that works great! *by N***R on Reviewed in the United States on October 17, 2019* I noted that it is easy to install, but not for me. I'm an older lady with not much agility any more, so had to have a young man install it. I've had it up for most of the spring and all summer, now going into fall. I'm in a small apartment that's easy to keep cool with no a/c except on the most humid days, and I really enjoy being able to open my back patio door so I can hear the birds around my bird feeder. I thought I wouldn't like the white screen, but it seems that I'm able to walk right up to the door and the birds don't see me and fly away, most of the time anyway. Going through the screen is so very simple, and it closes right back up with strong magnets, with virtually no gaps. There is a gap at the bottom edge. It would be great if there could be some magnets there as well, to connect with magnets attached to bottom of door jamb. But only the crawling critters will be able to get through, which does happen during late summer/early fall when stink bugs are looking to come inside for their winter's nap. All in all, I am very, very happy with this mesh screen. Hoping it will hold up thru the winter and can be used next year.
