Review: Night and day.... - I have been doing spot repairs on my windows with Dow 33 for a few years now, but decided to begin systematically restoring the 36 windows in my home. They are all 6 over 6 or 9 over 9 and several have transoms. To even think to take on such a project I knew I was going to need a better putty product. I started researching and all roads led back to the Sarco products. Since I am not planning on removing the windows, the Dual Glaze product is recommended for this application. I am only halfway through window #1, a 6 over 6 on the ground level and the difference in working with this product is immediately noticeable. It tools so much easier without dragging and and pulling. Very smooth. It is softer, so I noticed I have to be more careful not to inadvertently touch my completely work while working on other areas of the window. The ease of application will certainly be apprecaited when I am doing 9 over 9s on a ladder 3 stories off the ground. I am just begining this journey, but I believe it is now doable, where with Dow 33, I was not going to even attempt it. As a first-time window glazer, I found this stuff to be excellent. My lines are better than the ones that the professional window guys made when they replaced some broken panes on my house a month ago. The putty is very workable, and looks great. One big negative -- I badly re-sprained my elbow trying to pry open the gallon container. Geeze -- the thing is sealed so tightly it takes a nuclear bomb to open it. Be really careful not to hurt yourself trying to get it open.
