The tightness of these as sleeves would have become too uncomfortable after an hour or two, also, but these would likely fit better and be a more comfortable fit as heel pads.What size is best in these largely depends on how they are to be used, how snug they need to be for that specific use, and how long one expects to wear them each time. For elbows, and for wearing comfort, and to use for a couple of hours or more at a time, it might help to go larger in size than you might be inclined to order. For a very snug fit of brief and stable elbow protection and for use on heels, it would probably be ok to order whatever size you'd generally be inclined to order, unless you're also suffering foot/ankle swelling from an injury or suffer with foot/ankle edema from other causes. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Absolutely perfect pads for my husband's elbows *by M***F on Reviewed in the United States on 3 November 2016* Absolutely perfect pads for my husband's elbows. He weighs 135 lbs and the large fits perfect...not too tight, but stays in place and doesn't twist.The padding is ample and he says they are very comfortable.We're fighting hard to keep his bony prominences sore free. They may bother me because they are too big, so there is more movement. I use a size Medium in everything (or female size 10), but I followed reviewers’ advice and bought Large. Also, these look like they are meant for heels and should work well there.
