It's made of plastic but considering the reviews I'm willing to bet it is durable and will last a year. I just plugged in and it connected easily to my Windows 10 laptop. So compatibility is not an issue. It does not have LED aside from a light on the front. The only thing I'm annoyed about is that the duracell battery they sent to me with the package was dead. So thought the mouse wasn't working and was planning to return it. I had to go buy a new battery from Walmart and then when I put it in, the light came on and the mouse started working.

A: The logitech gaming software shows, and the mouse itself blink red when the battery is less than 30%.
Honestly... i using for hundreads of hours until now on overwatch and still up.

A: You can knock off around 10 grams by using a lithium AAA with a AAA to AA sleeve. It does make a good bit of difference and I highly suggest it.

**Q: What is the material on the sides of the mouse?--smooth plastic, rubber?**
A: Plastic, but not smooth. There is a fine texture on those surfaces.

**Q: Can Unifying this mouse g305 with other Logitech keyboard wirelses?**
A: This mouse is not compatible with Logitech's unifying receivers. This mouse uses Logitech's lightspeed technology which is different than the technology behind the unifying receivers.

I’ve used a lot of mice over the years, and the G305 is easily my favorite one. The weight and size feel just right for my hand, and it’s comfortable enough to use for long hours whether I’m working or gaming. The shape is simple but very practical, and it never feels awkward or tiring even after a full day at the desk. My previous G305 actually lasted about six years of daily use, and the only reason I replaced it is because it was starting to show wear after all that time. That kind of durability says a lot about the build quality. Since it's compatible on both my Windows and Mac OS, and I was already so used to it, getting another G305 felt like the obvious choice. The wireless connection is very stable, and I’ve never noticed any lag or dropouts. The sensor is accurate and responsive, which makes it reliable for both regular computer work and gaming. I also like that it runs on a single AA battery, which lasts a long time and is easy to replace. For me the most important thing is that this mouse just feels right to use every day. It’s well balanced, and simple in the best way. No led which I don't care. After using the first one for so many years, buying the same model again was an easy decision.
