Without any rails, it was precarious to do the overhead wiring. Several breaks to get blood back in my arms were necessary. But the project was successfully completed. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Review *by A***S on 23 May 2025* Works just like expected. I have been using two of them to help put up shiplap siding on my new garage. I have also used a regular 2x12x12' board. I thought people would be interested in a comparison. The wooden board flexes more than the aluminum scaffolding plank. The wooden board also weighs more than the aluminum one. But the wooden board costs a lot less. My assessment is that for a few uses, the wooden board is fine. It would be harder to lift up to higher heights, but then two people would probably still be best to lift the aluminum one up very high and two people could likely handle a wood board too. I think that if a 2x4x8' was put on edge under the 2x12x12 board, it would be as strong but heavier. The Menards price for this same item was about 100 dollars more than Amazon. I used a variety of things to hold up the scaffold plank, including A-frame ladders, saw horses, and ladder jacks. Ladder jacks are the most convenient because I can carefully step from one plank to the next to continue working at that level. Most inexpensive extension ladders are not rated for use with ladder jacks. So I ended up deciding to make my own sturdy wood ladders for less than half the money.
