I didn't, and ordered my regular size. Wow, it fit like a tent! I sent it back and ordered the next size down, and was very pleased when I got it. It's really heavy duty; it won't tear like some other slickers I've had. I wish it had inside pockets, but otherwise I'm very happy with it. The colors are good too. Although I believe rain slickers are meant to be yellow, I'm sure if you ordered another color you'd be pleased. I first got the blue one, because yellow was out of stock in that size. It was a really nice shade of blue; looked true to the photo. Happily, yellow was available in the size I actually needed and I love it! Im so glad I did. I am 5'9 and I usually wear a large or medium top/jacket. I purchased a size small and it fits me perfectly! There is not a lot of room for layers underneath. If you want more room and you are tall, get the medium. I just wanted a rain coat for rainy days and my trip to San Francisco. I don't plan on wearing this when its really cold outside, when I would be wearing a big sweater or something warm underneath. The sleeves are plenty long enough for me and I have long arms. The red isn't as bright as the pictures posted but it looks great in person!! My only issue was that it was a bit smaller than I was expecting. Most comments said the jacket was either true to size or even larger but I had the opposite. I did follow the sizing chart when I ordered as well. It's not that it doesn't fit, I just thought I could layer and maybe have on a sweater or something thicker underneath. I ended up using it the day it came in the mail and it did its job very well!! It really is a beautiful jacket!! Just keep in mind if u want extra room to be able to use it in colder months, order a size up!!
