The PBL500 is an insulated gas cylinder heater specifically designed to fit a 500-gallon horizontal gas cylinder tank. **Q: It description says, "Quickly heats cylinder to a preset 100 f/ 38 c ( 10 f/5 c)", but how long is "Quickly"?  Could you give me an approximate range**
A: I can’t tell you how long it takes to melt ice. We plug it in before a snow storm arrives and leave it on until the storm passes. The blanket works great, worth the cost.

**Q: What temp is the thermostat preset at?  can you use the ght2002j-fs thermostat controller with this pbl500 blanket?**
A: Our Powerblanket Lite model PBL500 uses an internal fixed thermostat designed to maintain a blanket temperature of approximately 90° ± (10° F) / 32°C (± 5° C). In theory, yes, you could use our thermostat controller model GHT2002J-FS with this Powerblanket heater but it is not recommended. You don't want to produce too much heat when warming a gas tank and we've done extensive testing to ensure our fixed thermostat is set to an ideal temperature that is safe and effective in warming a gas tank in cold weather.
