Metylan Ovalit TM is a premium 750g solvent-free PVA adhesive designed for professional wallcovering applications. ## Description

Metylan Ovalit TM is a solvent-free adhesive based on polyvinyl acetate in aqueous dispersion. Metylan OvalitTM adhesive is ideal for applying most paper backing, textile or non-woven wall coverings on normally absorbent backgrounds. It is particularly suitable for textiles (woven, needle-punched, yarn-to-thread, flocked/imitation suede, velour based on fibres, burlap, fabrics with coated backing, fleece fabrics), glass cloths to be painted, PVC coatings (vinyl coatings with paper, textile or non-woven backing, foamed vinyl coverings on a woven/polyester or mineral fleece backing). It is also suitable for bonding full-width wall coverings with foam backing, as recommended by manufacturers. Metylan Ovalit TM offers low consumption: 150 to 300 g/m². Its final intake is acquired after 24-48 hours. It has an open time of 20 to 30 minutes (depending on the temperature, ambient humidity and the degree of absorption of the substrate). It has an immediate hold and excellent adhesion, it becomes transparent after drying, offers a very good glide and a simple application. How to use: STEP 1: Stir the glue well before use. Apply the substrate sufficiently and evenly to a surface corresponding to a strip, using a paint roller or a finely notched spatula (A1 or A3) working from bottom to top. STEP 2: Glue the corners and edges with a paint brush. Display the first strip following the line drawn on the wall. STEP 3: Carefully paste from top to bottom, from the middle to the outside, to promote the transfer of glue and to remove trapped air with a plastic spatula or a roller milling cutter. STEP 4: Raise flush with ceiling and skirting boards or against door and window jambs with a thin blade cutter. Drag the blade by guiding it along a spatula to paste. The strips are applied edge to edge, or by covering. Cut the two thicknesses at the same time starting from the top with a cutter with a thin blade, guiding along a curved gluer ruler, without raising the blade. Clear the falls. Apply a light glue if necessary. STEP 5: Close the joint by gently patching. If laid with sharp joints, place the strips edge to edge. Lay and trim as before. For careful work, immediately blot with clean water any possible overflows of glue on ceilings, cornice, joinery, piping, etc. Avoid starting the installation at an outgoing angle.
