Review: Great value for money - Great laptop for the money. Not the fastest but well suited to the Microsoft applications and web surfing
Review: Uninstall Microsoft 365 - fantastic, this is the 2nd one i've owned (the first was an 11.1inch 720p version). Really it needs 8GB of RAM to run windows 11, the solution to this is to leave it in Windows S mode - OR - if you want to remove S mode and turn on full fat Windows 11 then completely uninstall the free Microsoft 365 (aka Microsoft Office) as it's this that drains system resources. You would need to uninstall every instance of 365 (including every language) which takes an hour or so to go through each one, also remove all the programs you won't use to free it of bloat and then the system will run fine. You can instead download Libre Office (which is free) in place of Microsoft 365. That doesn't cripple resources anywhere near as much. You can NOT upgrade the RAM here, it is soldered to the board, nor can you install Linux (Linux has a problem installing on eMMC in fanless netbooks due to restrictions hardwired into the BIOS; if you attempt in vein make sure you take note of your system key when deactivating BitLocker & SecureBoot as it will lock you out, essentially bricking the netbook - just a heads up. Debian GNOME fairs better). You can remove the rear screws and upgrade to a M.2 SSD 2280 but you can not boot from it - only use it as extra storage. Due to the thermal limitations (a reminder that this is a fanless design) all these performance restrictions are in place, but for £159.99 this is decent value for how little power it uses. Something similar from Apple would cost multiple times that. If you need a laptop to only do light work then keep it off Microsoft 365 and keep if free of needless installations (VLC, Norton/Avast, Clipgrab, etc.) and it is brilliant (doing so, I find minimal difference between this and browsing on my N6005 Pentium which has active fan cooling and 8GB Ram; yet uses ~10% of the power when all things considered). Battery lasts about 4 hours on 'Balanced' setting with a lot of internet use.

### ⭐ Not good at all, avoid and find something else.
*by B***S on 17 January 2026*

Not great at all. Painfully slow at even every day tasks such as browsing or watching a YouTube video. This was purchased for a 6 year olds 1st computer to do simple things like mathletics on but even that is too much for the computer to handle. When checking task manager it is on 100% cpu and ram usage 90% of the time even when not doing anything, It has turned from something my daughter should love and want to use but instead feels like an absolute chore to use. The Hardwear simply isn't suitable for a laptop, my 5 year old phone has more processing power.
