Some have criticized this book as being a second rate printing job. While it’s true that it is a value engineered reissue, it works perfectly as the informative tool that it is. It ain’t a coffee table book it’s a guide and a good one with some savings to boot.  k as being a second rate printing job. I loved the fact that this book is so thorough. Having been using Nikon digital cameras since the D70, I already had a good idea how everything worked. The book was perfect to bring me up to speed on the new software and camera controls. I read the book first, then I got the camera and compared the suggestions with my own shooting style (I shoot professionally) and then made the adjustments. Definitely would recommend.

Just received my copy of this edition.  I've used other books by David Busch, and so I know the content will be helpful and comprehensive.  My purpose in posting this review is to reassure that the paper it is printed on is just fine, and the photographs are clear for what they need to convey.  No need for anguish over unavailability of First Edition.  In fact, I prefer this publication, since it is A LOT lighter than the Cengage publication and will be easier to use and annotate.
