Review: Great pen but poor packaging from Morgan's Direct - Great pen, prefect weight in the hand. Glides smoothly even on cheap printer paper and doesn't smudge for a gel pen. However, the 3 pack came loose in a cardboard box and not in the product packaging as shown here. It's not Pentel's fault but Morgan's Direct the seller... The pens did arrive with their protective ball on the nibs though.
Review: Top pen EU - Feels great to write with, smooth, no skipping whatsoever. Ink dries very quickly, no smudges at all, great pen for lefties. 10/10 would recommend. For me it beats stabilo sensors, uniball signos and pilot vballs.

**Q: Will the problem of the cracked barrels that has been going on for over 3 years ever be addressed? I see A LOT of people are having the same problem.**
A: I've had the exact same issue. Pen had a crack just above the grip; the pen doesn't stay together. Have to keep finding the pieces after it goes flying everywhere. I've bought refills already but I won't be buying anymore after I'm done with the refills.

**Q: Are these the cheaper ones made in Mexico or the high quality ones that are made in Japan?**
A: The ones I received (May 2020) were made in Mexico. Definitely cheaply made - even the box was falling apart when I received them. One barrel was already cracked. We could attribute that to bad packaging, but my "old favorite", which was made in Japan, would NOT have cracked in shipping. I also noticed right away that the barrel color was different. 
I've used the ones made in Japan for 20+ years and they were - emphasis on were - my favorite pen.

**Q: The title/description says .5 mm needle tip, but the picture shows the larger medium tip. Which is correct?**
A: There are 3 options of tip size on the one page- .5mm .7mm and 1mm.
Not all sizes are available in all color options and not all color and size combinations are available in the multiple pack quantity options. Whichever size you choose in whichever color opted for will arrive in the pack quantity selected despite what the generic picture depicts as it is only 1 of the many options offered.

**Q: Is the ink waterproof? Can I use highlighters without smear?**
A: The ink is waterproof and you can use a highlighter - just make sure the ink is dry before highlighting.
