They also solve the problem of lost lids for good storage containers. One slight drawback is that if you are using them on glass bowls, they don't "stick" to cold glass. So basically, you can't take something out of your fridge, unseal it and reseal it with the Insta Lid. Once you uncover it, you have to use up the leftovers or wait for the bowl to warm up. Not a huge deal.
