## Description

Product description Bring Japan to your room with this Japanese styled room divider. This is ideal for anyone who would like some privacy, space for changing, or simply as an item of decor for a household. If you are looking for a different divider other than a traditional solid walls, this Tokyo room divider is the next best thing. You will surely have a unique japanese styled piece of decor that nobody will have in your household. By also doubling up as a 'changing room' area, the room splitter is lightweight and foldable therefore making it easier to fold. The colour is in natural colour and the rice paper is opaque which will allow light to diffuse through, yet it can still provide complete privacy. With the item being hand-crafted and includes paper, extra care must be remembered when handling this room divider. Safety Warning Handle with care to avoid damaging the fragile paper panels. Do not expose to liquids or excessive moisture. Always ensure the room divider is stable and secure before use to prevent tipping or falling.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: is the paper easily to make holes if i have kids ?**
A: I don't think I'd risk it! I guess it depends how old the kids are, but I always fold mine away when the grandchildren are here. I fold and unfold mine every day and it's great, but I am careful with it. Also, if it's in a sunny window, which mine is, it will inevitably get a bit brittle over time. My previous one went that way, just with age. It does look really elegant, though, and it substitutes for curtains in my rather awkwardly shaped bay window. This one is a great price and I've been very pleased with it. Hope that helps.

**Q: Can you send this screen to Jersey?**
A: UK mainland only

**Q: How does the back look like? Is it the same both sides? Would it be pleasant to look at? Thanks!**
A: no the same but looks good

**Q: Could i separate the panels to use as sliding wardrobe doors ? ( I have top and bottom tacks and fixings.)**
A: I only have it as a room divider, the fabric is quite fragile I don't think it would be suitable but you might be cleverer than me!!!

## Customer Reviews

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great value, elegant screen
*by N***S on 11 April 2024*

I found this Japanese style screen excellent value. An authentic screen actually made in Japan would be many times more expensive so this shoji style screen is an anfgordable alternative. The screen arrived perfectly intact, it was double-boxed, and and delivered day earlier than expected. It is ready assembled and stands safely in the room. I wouldn’t choose it if children or pets were around, but it can divide spaces of a long room or studio rather neatly, and is easy to move or fold as needed. Light shines through very pleasinglyThe “fabric” listed for so many cheaper furniture items found online is in fact plastic, even when mis-advertised as canvas. I am pleased this is not the case here, with sturdy paper used between the wooden frame as you should expect for the Japanese style.I think the screen looks great and very well priced.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Very pleased
*by F***A on 16 January 2017*

This is a perfect solution for my requirements. When I am working from home I don't want everyone on a video conference to see my home. With this screen behind me it looks office like and screens off the room. It's light enough for me to be able to move it easily but sturdy enough sit steadily. It's very attractive and could have many other uses in the home screening off areas and lets a nice diffuse light through. It arrived the second day after I ordered it and was well packaged. I am very pleased with it.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great value
*by E***Y on 7 September 2013*

I bought this to replace a three-section screen that I'd had for years, and this one does the job very well. Being wider, it screens my bay window beautifully without being stretched out too much. It looks elegant and does a lovely job of providing soft, filtered light, and complete privacy. The price is excellent, and the screen arrived well packaged and very quickly after ordering.Update 29/08/2016 - Just added two photos of back of screen, because some people have asked about the reverse. If there is any light source at all coming through the screen, you will still see the framework through the Japanese paper. I still absolutely love this screen, and I think it's even cheaper now than when I bought mine! Hope this helps.
