The bottom was deeply chipped pretty bad, so I use the rotary sander and was able to sand the portions that were chipped pretty good, but I did not sand it flush. Because I was only renting, I didn't put in the extra work to completely smooth out those chipped surface areas. This would've been a perfect opportunity to put in a hard resin, but like I said, I don't own it. Also, I only use two cans. The three months looked fantastic. However, going into the fourth month the thin layers didn't hold up and those chipped areas were becoming noticeable again. Note you need four cans to do it right. Everywhere else is holding it nicely. Alert – you need a really good mask because there will be a plume of paint dust in the air. So you will need to cover your entire head, face, arms, and wear goggles. A fan on the windowsill will help immensely, but know that all that paint plume will stick to the fans blades. Overall, I like the product a lot. I took one star out just because it didn't stick on those chipped areas as well, but that's on me. Note, I only touched up the front portion because it was still in decent condition.
