I pulled back enough plastic to see that they indeed went into the windshield. So I sent it back to Amazon and asked for a replacement.The replacement also had similar scratches, but not as deep (looking), so tired of doing returns and waiting I installed the windshield. Well I sort of have it installed - one of the fasteners stripped and these guys don't give you an extra. Also the fit is just OK, the bottom has plenty of air gaps for water or air to pass under.Back to the scratches, because the scant installation instructions tell you to Not pull off the protective plastic until you have the windshield installed. Guess what? AGAIN, the scratches on the protective film went through and are on the windshield! Also the kit doesn't come with any rubber isolators for where the mount screws go through window - my bet is this thing cracks apart just from the way it mounts....No I would not recommend this product... ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Better than a split window. *by O***Y on Reviewed in the United States on December 16, 2018* Easy to install and so much better than a split windshield.
