If you are looking to fight more and ruin a perfectly good marriage buy this machine.
This product is a joke! I have been fighting LG for 1 year and 3 months to replace this machine with no results. The LG tech's first three visits stated in his report" customer education" what a joke. So I'm being told by a millennial that me at 54 years old I need to be educated on how to operate a washing machine. LG has a tactic of acking like they will take care of the problem until they wear you down and give up!I purchased my machine from lowes and with the military discount and seasonal sale i paid $545 and still over paid. I'm chunking this one and buying anything not an LG. Customer service is the bigist joke. Once I told they I did not want the same tech they started using A and E factory Service (Sears) I've had three techs say its unrepairable, but amazingly LG never seems to get that report. And then then put the burden on the customer buy sending the tech again to finish reports, but when they show up, its a different tech as if they are starting the whole troubleshooting process again. At this time they are not allowed in my home anymore and wait to see if the Exutive team will repace the machine. They have replaced the control board twicen the wayer valve once and the wayer level pressure switch once with no change.Qhen washing clothes we get 1 of 3 results, 1 is it does not put enough water in the tub about 60% of the time, 2 is it fills to the top about 20%, the 3rd is it works correctly 20%. This machine can never be left unattended which makes the wifi app a complete joke! My water bill has gone up, my electric bill has gone up, and for a large capacity machine this has the the least ability of washing a full load. They have also eliminated the ture wayer rince cycle, now it has to be added the the already 1 hour 39 minute cycle time that produces clothes that stink, and look worn out. They are times we will spend 3 hours trying to get a load washed, i have never had a machine I hate this much.Update june 6th 2019, called LG and was asked for a third time for a receipt that they have confirmed they have already recieved. They are trained to deflect. So, again they have told me they will contaxt me, which has not happened yet in 15 months.

Has been good to us for 4+ years
I bought this machine from Costco in 2018. It is now Dec 2022 and it is still running as good as when it was new. I could count on one hand the number of times we've had balancing issues and every one of them was large loads of towels or blankets. We are a 2 adult household and have 3 large dogs (German shedders...). So we run lots of laundry on the weekends and have never had an issue with things not coming out clean, even with all the dog hair. I'm not sure what's with all the negative reviews aside from a small group of people who had issues. I did my research when buying this and it was one of the best out there with lots of great reviews.

BIG Problems! Buy another brand
I purchased my washer from Home Depot in November 2017. Four weeks ago, the power button stopped working. LG Tech has been out twice and replaced 4 parts. Home Depot warranty company is waiting on a back ordered part. This machine has lasted almost 4 years. Paid $599 plus tax and $135 for 5 year warranty. It’s just trash and no one is doing much of anything to fix the issue- not LG, not the tech, not Assurian the warranty company. I’m so tired of hearing “we’re so sorry for your inconvenience”. I used to like them - not any more. Buy something else. Run from LG!! Run fast!

It was a rough purchase experience, but seemed to end well.
8-7-2019 I have upgraded my review of LG and Home Depot to 3 stars after they responded to our concerns over the bad experience. I am not one to publicly complain, but in this circumstance it was warranted. LG and Home Depot understand, and corrected the problem by replacing the washer instead of repairing. We purchased a brand new LG washer and dryer. We were told in store that Home Depot has a 48 hour return policy. We used the washer and dryer as soon as it was delivered to make sure it worked properly. A week and a day after delivery the washer stopped working. The power button became temperamental and you couldn’t change water temperatures. We called Home Depot to have a replacement washer delivered (thinking it’s brand new and that would be feasible) and were told it was an LG issue now that the 48 hour window had passed. Called LG, they sent out a repairman who informs us that he needs to replace the motherboard. He has to order the part and when asked how long we should expect he says he doesn’t know because they are really busy. We called Home Depot back and spoke to a manager to again request an exchange and were told that the best he could do would be to call LG and try to expedite the parts. Bottom line Is that I have basically purchased a refurbished washer at full retail price. It’s ludicrous to think that a company would not stand behind the products they sell, especially a major appliance and replace a defective washer a week after delivery. Unless this is made right by Home Depot I will shout from the rooftops to any and everyone that will listen to NEVER purchase anything from Home Depot ever again!!!

So far so good one year+
This washer conserves water. However, when you have messy clothes add under “special care”: stain cycle or soak. Either of these care selections will make the machine add more time and more water. I like the “steam cycles” with the “special care” add-one.

Do not buy if you want clean clothes.
This is by far the worst washer my wife and I have had in our entire lives. I am not exaggerating at all. It doesn't add enough water nor does it agitate the clothing enough. I have to start the load, wait a few minutes, turn it off and then start the load again because it senses a heavier load and will add more water. It's suppose to be a water savor but it uses more water because you have to rewash everything. We are going to have to just junk it and buy one that cleans our clothes. I want my 1974 Kenmore back! It worked great.
