I have started to give her slightly more than 75mg, because it wasn’t working as well after a while but giving her 1 pill plus a little sprinkle from the second pill works great. She is just over the weight suggested for the 75mg.I tried to give it every other day but it just was not working as well as every day. We still smoosh it into a few pill pockets and make like a dough and then I pinch off treat size pieces and she loves it! She cries for it every morning and that is what she wants for breakfast lol. She’s now refusing wet food because this is what she wants.Update 7 days after initial review:I have been giving 1/2 of a 75mg capsule twice a day to my cat for 7 days straight now and she has not attacked my other cat in 7 days! We usually have stalking and attacking constantly so to go from constantly to none is very impressive! What I really like is that she still has her personality and does not seem drugged in any way. She just isn’t a psychopath stalker anymore 🤷🏻‍♀️. I plan on continuing the regimen and giving 1/2 to her twice a day. Then I started giving what was left to my new rescued mini doxie beagle mix to help him adjust to a new home. When it ran out he definitely was more glued to the door sniffing under it and baying at neighbors walking by in the hall, so I ordered it again and he’s chilled out. It says for over 11lbs to do 2 capsules, but I’ve found 1 capsule works well enough for 12-13lb dogs, but I also give L-theanine 2x a day.It’s a little more expensive than Prozac or Trazodone for dogs, but I like that it’s non drowsy and I don’t have to worry about seratonin syndrome or aggression which can be a risk for stacking the two drugs.
