The U home app does not have an interface for a "normal user" to register their fingerprint using the app. The tech support rep told me, "For now, normal users have to use the PIN code method or the telephone app to open the lock. Highly recommended *by A***R on 26 January 2026* I have been a Ultraloq customer for over eight years now and counting. The first Ultraq lasted eight years with no problem up until last September 2025. I decided to buy this one because I believe the other is old and out dated. I received the new Ultraloq latch 5 and installed it. It struggled to connect with my wifi 2.4GH right from the get go. I finally got it working, but the 0 started acting up, then all other characters started acting up as well. I contacted Ultraloq customer service via email, they responded quickly. After few troubleshooting, they decided to ship a new replacement witch took only four days to arrive. The replacement is installed and running good. We are all happy with Ultraloq products. The app works flawlessly.
