It took my youngest a while to figure out how to push on the tab to lift the spout, but after she did it a few times it was very user friendly. I love the handle so they can carry it themselves. I always try to find water bottles that truly keep the ice water cold and these 100% do. My kids drink lots and lots and these hold a good amount and keep it cool for a long time. The quality has held up over time too. We've got some dings and dents, but the handle is still in tact and so are the straws. Easy to clean and dishwasher safe is always a must have for me too.
