I use it for keeping food items in fridge. Food stays fresh and cooling is better and thorough in glass container. Food is easily visible so you don't have to open lids to know what's in the jar, most boring with plastic jars. I also store my baby food in it, lot better than plastic and also better than BPA plastic. Even if I put garlic or onion in it, once washed the smell would go way, that's the beauty of glass. Once I mistakenly dropped it from my fridge top compartment and whoa it didn't break, phhh..... Absolutely beautiful jars. Simply go for it.PS: First parcel that I received had broken jars, but as always with wonderful customer service of Amazon got replacement and the next lot started using with great satisfaction. Do note that there is a seam that runs vertically along the jar suggesting that it is made of 2 glass components joined together rather than a single mould.However, I have pressure cooked the jar without issue and has not yet cracked or broken so the design seems to be sturdy. Its easy to clean like any glass jar.The only downside might be the Lid. Its made of a simple material like tin and is might rust (hasn't yet).
