It's very easy to use. The only issue I had was the pod side would not work at first so I got on YouTube and it showed a button behind where the arrow for the pod is. You have to push it a few times and loosen it up and then it works. I didn't see anything in the booklet about that. It's very easy to clean and easy to put back together. Thank you.** A: The Cuisinart features two separate reservoirs — one to brew a full pot of coffee & one for a single-serve cup. The two reservoirs mean that when you brew a pot, you aren’t using up all of the water from the single-serve reservoir — which is a plus. However both reservoirs are somewhat difficult to access. To answer your question, you don’t have to pour water in each time for the single-serve function, which is an improvement over some other dual coffee makers (like the Hamilton Flex Brew). The single-serve reservoir holds 40 oz — enough to brew three 10 oz cups or five 6 oz cups before refilling. (It requires a limited amount of water to remain in the reservoir to work properly.) It holds just enough coffee for 1 cup. It can be emptied, rinsed out and reused. **Q: Does it use any brand single serve pod** A: Mine does not have a needle in the bottom to break through a pod. So now whenever I try to make a single cup either from ground coffee in the refillable pod or a K-Cup pd, it makes a terrible noise and the lights for all three sizes of single cups blink and I have to turn it off to clear that. Now the only working part is the full pot. No problem until I inserted a K-cup (Trader Joe's brand) where no puncture was made for the water to flow through the bottom of the pod into a mug. The plus to that is when filling the carafe it will stop so you can pour your cup. ### ⭐⭐⭐ Darn Sticky button! *by G***7 on 16 November 2025* I will say this makes great coffee. The single cup Keurig is extremely fast. What drives me crazy is sometimes the single side will not brew. It actually only worked a couple of days when I bought it and I was abou to send it back butdid some research. The Keurig side has a rubber covered switch inside where the Keurig cup goes. I seems to sense the cover is closed. When the switch senses the cover is closed there will be a "POD" LED illuminated meaning you can brew. It's well documented that the switch doesn't always pop up when the cover is opened and then you can't brew. I suspect there is more to it than that because if the switch was always sensed the cover is closed, then it wouldn't matter when you opened he cover. In any case, per several comments from folks who called Customer Service, the "fix" is to reach in and press the rubber cover to move the switch. That didn't always work in my case. I had to use my fingernail to push down on the rubber switch cover then slide my finger off so the switch would pop up. Just pressing and releasing didn't always work. I fact, I put a label inside saying "Reset" by the button. It happens quite often and it's only an inconvience except when we have house guests and they try to brew a single cup and it won't. With all the comments online, you'd think they'd fix that. Living in Colo, we get a lot of house guests. For those that get up before us, and after seeing so many of them struggling to make the carafe coffee, I ended up putting #s 1-5 for the steps for them to make coffee. The K-Cup side is easy as long as the POD LED illuminates. "A" to check the display and select the quantity, in ounces, and then press. Maybe we shouldn't have house guests?
