It cuts beautifully.When I first got it, I was cutting some bell peppers and thought there was something wrong with them because this knife just went through the peppers like butter. It only took a minute to realize that there was nothing wrong with the peppers, but all of my other knives were either dull or bad to begin with.It's been about a month that I have been using this knife, and it is still as sharp as it was the day I got it. The wood handle appears to be sturdy and feels good within your hand, and allows an ease in cutting. German metal is good when it comes to rust resistance and sharpness, which is why it was slightly disappointing that the knife was not as sharp as expected when it came in. Another issue I had was that it stated Damascus steel, however this is just an etching. Finding that it wasn't real, but fake was upsetting as I was going to give this as a gift to a relative. We ended up keeping it for our home instead. Overall, the knife itself is a good one, cuts nicely (once sharpened) and does the job very well.
