If you are someone who like to sleep in 100% darkness then this is definitely not for you. Even at the lowest setting it emits enough light to wake me up for at least 5-10 seconds and I am a moderate to heavy sleeper. It might even wake you up completely if you are just trying to get a glimpse of the time while rolling over and if you are a light sleeper.When I was considering whether I should return it, I didn’t want to because (here’s why it’s 4 stars) it is very well built and easy to operate. I didn’t even have to use the manual to understand the controls. Plus it as a long cable which is great because I have hung it on a wall (which I feel is a great option).Here’s what I did, cut out an old laptop privacy screen guard and wrapped it with red plastic double layer and stuck it on the screen with a 2 sided tape and it worked like a charm! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Very bright and large numbers *by C***M on Reviewed in the United States 🇺🇸 on December 20, 2018* I didn't buy this as an alarm clock, I am using it in my TV room as a clock that sits on the TV stand. When we got rid of the cable box we missed having a clock in the room, so it works great for this purpose. The large white numbers are very easy to see from across the room. I wouldn't recommend it in a bedroom though, even on the dimmest setting it is extremely bright at night. ### ⭐⭐ Buyer beware... It’s not a Black clock as pictured.
