Also useful for checking AWOS or ATIS prior to firing up your bird. If you love just hanging out at the airport before a flight, you can monitor comms to get a feel for the ATC environment. Powerful radio. God Range. Clear in the headphones. Reasonable cost. I think I caught it at $50 off. A really good deal if you get the time right.
