Review: SUPMAKIN "FRESH" MEAT SLICER IS STURDY AND EASY TO HANDLE... with caution as per manufacturer - Received the meat slicer a few minutes ago in perfect condition and good timing. After washing it, I tried my luck with a potato which is not what this unit was made for. It cut half way trough; then it became difficult to manage. I gave up and finished slicing it with my kitchen knife. No problem. But I am waiting receipt of Purdue chicken breasts from desertcart. When the chicken arrives, I will slice it all, separating a portion to cut it four ways to get it close to ground meat. This is a well made slicer that should be handled with care and used mainly for raw meats and other suggested food items. The slicer looks sturdy with the s/s blades very sharp as noted by the manufacturer and in some customer reviews. UPDATE. Soon enough, the chicken breasts arrived and I proceeded to slice one unit in an easy crisscross mode about five times. I seasoned the diced chicken with dry spices, and placed it on a 5" ceramic skillet coated with olive oil. Well cooked and brown on both sides, it was a delicious hamburger. As to cleaning, I used the spray hose in the kitchen faucet. With the spraying force, there was nothing left of the small residue caught between blades or on the plastic base. At that point, I poured soupy water as I sprayed the items one more time. All parts looked brand new. Caution: As noted above, exercise care when handling the blades. The base should be secured to the counter; hence, do not hold any part of it while slicing. In two sessions today, I had no issues since I had been warned. UPDATE. A couple of weeks ago the base failed to stay put so I kept trying but the suction did not work. Since I had the cutlets out I decided I would be careful holding the base; however, the blade cut my index finger all the way to the bone. Luckily, I was able to stop the bleeding, sanitized it well and placed a treated band-aid on it. Several times daily I had to repeat the cleaning process until one day I realized that, while still hurting, at least it was dry. Two weeks later it is still sore to the touch and had developed a small bump. I have not touched the slicer again. I suggest to the users when the suction does not work not to try to hold it with the left hand and cut with the right one. Simply postpone the project until the bottom part can be fixed. In my case, after everything, the suction worked after I cleaned it.
Review: Wonderful!! ( But sharp) - We live Philly Cheese steak subs and stir fry. So we got this so we didn't have to pay for already thin sliced sirloin at the grocery store. We got a few pieces of Chucky sirloin and used it in this machine. A little tougher to do than on some of the videos but it really worked perfectly. Now cleaning was easy with the brushes but I did have to take the two sharp razor parts apart to clean. Did so and put back together being very careful not to cut myself. Little bit later looked down and saw a cut on each hand on fingers. So even being careful still resulted in cuts. So immediately ordered a set of filet gloves. Won't use this thing without them just for safety sake. This is our firstbstir fry. We love it enough to keep it for sure!

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great for beef jerky size thin cut

Works best when piece of meat is just below the top of the slots at the top of the stand ((( I had issues of blades not lining up when the meat was above))) ... Used on the thin setting and cut perfect size to make beef jerky and broccoli beef. Suggest safety gloves .. the only reasons I did not give 5 stars is it should come with safety gloves and the stand kept losing grip on the counter so I had to hold the base with my hand.
