So far the scope has performed flawlessly. The optics are clear and the light gathering has been very good, even under heavy overcast conditions. If you wanted a great scope with awesome optics you needed to pay 500+ or settle for one of the other brands that come close to being great. But you dont need to settle with this scope. The NIKON brand says it all. The scope is a tough little scope. Built well, solid feeling. The controls are perfect with positive click feedback with every minute of angle change. The use of a coin to reset to zero is a nice touch. Any scope that offers reticular focus is typically really expensive, but not this scope.The best part ... The optics are crisp from 4.5x to 14x and really really bright, feels like a 52mm instead of the 40mm. The eye relief is almost too generous, nearing 4 inches, and the image fills the entire exit pupil edge to edge. The cross hairs are thick as well. No need for additional lighting of the reticle at dusk or dawn.I would buy this scope for all my firearms I use for 50-100 Yard sighting.
